Allocated GP

From April 2015 GP practices were required to provide all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that the surgery provides to them.  Having a named GP does not prevent you from seeing your usual GP or any other GP in the practice as you have previously been able to.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
